"Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves." - Henry David Thoreau

I make the effort to go running once a week on Saturday mornings. I've found that they are a great way to start my weekend and say goodbye to another work week. While my run wasn't particularly difficult, it did mark the first time that I went for a 30 minute plus run without walking. I also decided that I would run without stopping to look at my phone to see where I was. I ended up on the other side of my neighborhood completely unfamiliar with my surrounds. Despite the fact that I didn't know where I was, all I could do was laugh, googlemap my location, and walk back home. I didn't feel unsafe or worried, but I actual enjoyed the fact that I was learning more and more about neighborhood and my surroundings. Plus, it helped to remind me that getting lost isn't always a bad thing.
