I'm eventually going to make a post on this, but I can get my hair pretty straight with just a roller or flexi-rod set, no heat necessary. I just have to ensure that my hair is barely damp as opposed to wet, or even damp, so that it's fully dry when I am ready to take them out. I did this flexi rod set on just barely damp hair, moisturized with Giovanni Direct Leave-In, and sealed with a mix of coconut, olive, and castor oil. I got these flexi-rods from Ulta, and I really like them. Unlike my other flexi-rods, these were significantly smaller, and hence, a lot easier to sleep in (which is awesome since I love a good night sleep and then waking up with awesome hair). They were also pretty cheap; for 20, I spent only $13 with a coupon. I set my hair on 19 rods and took them out in the morning. My hair was a bit shorter than I liked, so I made two high pigtail buns to stretch the curls and get more volume. And voila, a perfect roller set!
